How to Continue a large enquiry
Linesearch beforeUdig provides an option for you to Continue a previous enquiry, usually for larger jobs where the area needs to be broken down into multiple smaller sections. This is useful as you are able to continue each map section off the end of the last one without losing your place.
This can be done either straight after submitting the first enquiry, or if you need to continue a previous job, you can do this by going to your History and locating the relevant enquiry.
From the Summary screen, click Actions (top right corner) and then select the Continue enquiry option:
Note: If you do not have access to the Continue enquiry option, this may be because:
- The enquiry was lodged over 12 months ago and has been archived. You will need to lodge a new enquiry instead.
- Your account may not have been validated yet, preventing you from continuing the enquiry online.
This function is similar to resubmits, except on the Location screen the previous map area will appear greyed-out, allowing you to draw a new area with the previous area as a reference:
The continued job’s Enquiry Details will automatically populate to be the same as the previous enquiry, except the dates, which will need to be entered again. The Notes and other fields can be altered if required. The confirmation sheet will be sent to whichever email you currently have on your account (regardless of where the original job was sent, if your contact details have changed).
Tip:
If you are breaking up the one location into several parts, it can be helpful to put something in the Your reference field (e.g. Part 1, Part 2, etc.) to distinguish between the various enquiries.
