How to register with Linesearch beforeUdig
When using Linesearch beforeUdig to request underground service information for the first time, you will need to register your contact details before submitting an enquiry. Click the Register button from the top right of the screen to go the Registration page:
Next, complete the form. It will request the following types of information:
- Customer details: Here you can enter in your name and company information. If your work is to do with your own residence and not a company, type “Private” in the Company field.
- Postal address: Enter your postal address. If you have a PO Box, Unit or Lot number, these will typically be entered in Address Line 1, with the main part of the address in Address Line 2.
- Electronic contact details: Provide at least one contact phone number. We require an email address so we can send you an account validation email (this is also how plans are usually sent).
- Miscellaneous: Under this section, we will ask how you heard about the service, and you can choose to subscribe to our newsletter service. This subscription status can be changed at any time.
- Login details: These are the details you will use to log in to the online service. Most people use their email address as their username. When choosing your password, it must be at least 8 characters long, and contain at least 1 upper case, 1 lower case, 1 number and 1 special character (!”$^.). Tick the box to accept our Terms and Conditions and click Sign Up to compete your registration.
If you require assistance when filling in the contact details, click on the grey question mark ? icons and these will advise you on how to fill in each section. It is important to ensure that you answer the mandatory fields correctly otherwise your enquiry confirmations may not reach you.
After clicking Sign Up, you will be sent a registration email with a validation link – this link must be clicked before you can begin lodging inquiries, and will expire after 3 days.
