How to use the Top-Up Service

 

The Top-Up Service provides everyone access to all the known utility networks’ records available for all sites, nationally.  Whether you want to establish the presence of key network operators in an area or search for all the known asset owners, LSBUD’s Top-Up Service options provide a one-stop solution.

This premium searching service will top-up your LSBUD enquiry, providing you with responses and asset plans for your area of interest from those network operators and utilities that are not yet members of LSBUD.

To request our Top-Up Service, you must first submit your LSBUD Enquiry.

After you submit your enquiry, there will be an option at the top of your enquiry confirmation for you to order the Top-Up Service.

Clicking this button will take you to a separate page, where you can select which type of Top-Up Service you would like to order.

The Essential Top-Up option searches core safety critical services, providing responses from the key electricity, gas, sewer & drainage, water and Openreach networks.  Asset plans are provided where the Top-Up service identifies the presence of networks (affected). 

The Comprehensive Top-Up option searches all known utility and network operators including all those within the Essential Top-Up option.  You will receive responses from all known utilities who operate networks in your search locality and where networks are affected you will receive asset plans.

Once you have decided which Top-Up Service you would like to order, click “Proceed to Next Step” which will take you to your basket. If you do not want to proceed with purchasing your order straight away, you are automatically sent an email informing you that your quote is ready.

When you are ready to make payment, you can go back to your basket by clicking the link in the quote. Here, you can select which order you wish to pay for and then proceed to payment.

Next, proceed to the payment page where you need to enter your card details and purchase the plan.

After your payment has been made, you will receive an email with a copy of your receipt. This will include a full breakdown of your order, including the VAT information for you, as well as the “Target Delivery Date”.

This delivery date will be either 5 working days or 10 working days, depending on the type of Top-Up Service you purchased.

On your target delivery date, you will receive an email informing you that your Top-Up has been issued. This email will include a download link, which will provide you with a copy of your Top-Up Service. When all data has been collected, this email will state that a “Final Issue” has been completed.

If we are still awaiting responses from utilities identified within your area of interest, you will receive a “First Issue” which will mean a second email will be sent to you with any remaining plans that haven’t been collected by your delivery date.  

Once these plans have been received, they are to be used alongside the original LSBUD enquiry, and affected Member plans, which will have been sent on the day of purchase.
