Important Notice – National Grid Gas Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission asset responses available through LSBUD
We are extremely pleased to announce that from late afternoon on 06 August 2021, all asset plan responses for National Grid Gas Transmission and National Grid Electricity Transmission will be available through the LSBUD service, replacing the previous third party plan response system known as EAGLES.
National Grid holds a pivotal role in the UK’s energy industry, transporting energy from producers to local network operators, who bring gas and electricity into homes and businesses.
National Grid own the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales. They also own and operate the high-pressure gas transmission system in Great Britain. They transport electricity at high voltage and gas at high-pressure, using the world’s most reliable network of cables, pipes, pylons and wires.
National Grid assets protected through LSBUD will include:
- 4,481 miles (7,212 kilometres) of overhead electricity lines
- 1,391 miles (2,239 kilometres) of underground electricity cable
- 4,740 miles (7,630 kilometres) of high-pressure gas pipe
