ESB is a power generation company which has recently built Carrington power station. The power station is a combined cycle gas turbine facility capable of producing a total output of 880MW and is situated at Carrington to the West of Manchester. Gas is transported at high pressure via a pipeline which is connected to the National Grid high pressure gas network at Partington.
