SSE Thermal operates the company’s thermal generation, energy-from-waste, and energy storage assets. It is currently constructing the 840MW Keadby 2 Power Station in North Lincolnshire, which is expected to become the cleanest and most efficient gas-fired power station in Europe when completed in 2022.
SSE is the UK’s largest non-nuclear electricity generator with around 11,600 MW (Mega Watts) of electricity generation capacity in total (UK and Ireland) from the most diverse portfolio of power stations.
Membership of LSBUD will enable SSE Thermal to provide their asset location plans to the widest possible audience, ensuring that critical infrastructure is protected and connectivity is maintained.
