LSBUD Large Site Service

With large infrastructure projects happening across the UK, the importance of searching over large areas or along linear routes is becoming more prevalent. 

The  Large Site Service provides a quick and simple way to create multiple enquiry searches from a polygon on the Linesearch BeforeUdig portal. The service will create mosaic of the tile polygons as separate enquiries on your account. We will provide an overview plan containing the same polygon tiles which can be loaded into a geographic information system (GIS). Each polygon tile will use the “plan_reference” attribute as a label which in turn will reference the LSBUD references used in the submission of the jobs.

The Large Site Service is currently an email request service charged per request. We will ask you to complete a simple form providing information on the enquiry and to send in a spatial data file to cover the area. We then assess the request and provide a quote/invoice.

Within 48hrs of payment, we will instigate the service which ‘cookie-cuts’ the supplied polygon into tiles – we provide a digest map with tile references. The service will then create each tile as a separate job on your LSBUD account. You will receive a job submission email for each tile and emails from affected utilities.
