LSBUD On Show At Simultaneous Conferences
Last week saw a first for LinesearchbeforeUdig (LSBUD) when the team exhibited at two conferences on the same day.
Richard Broome, Fionn Wardrop and Kaz Singh all manned the stand on the first day of the busy two day Utility Week Live conference at the NEC, before Wardrop headed south to The Allianz Stadium to run LSBUD’s stand at the London and Anglian HAUC Roadshow.
More than 6,000 delegates pre-registered for Utility Week Live and this was borne out as the LSBUD stand was kept busy throughout the show. On the second morning Richard Broome gave a well-received talk to the Streetworks conference under the theme of ‘New technologies that keep the traffic moving’, using LSBUD as a case study. LSBUD’s members consider the service to be an essential tool in reducing asset strikes and the subsequent disruption that results, so this case study was extremely well placed.
With in excess of 400 delegates taking advantage of a perfect summer’s day, a partially outdoor show and a strong set of exhibitors, the London and Anglian HAUC roadshow was also extremely busy and many LSBUD users visited the stand to share their experiences and learn the latest news. With both new user registrations and search numbers in LSBUD hitting record highs so far in 2017 it was no surprise to meet many regular users of the service.
The next event for LSBUD is the Yorkshire HAUC, which takes place at The Pavilions of Harrogate on 8th June. Richard Broome will be attending on LSBUD’s behalf and we look forward to reacquainting ourselves with many of our members and users in the north.
