LSBUD Welcomes New Member – SP Energy
LSBUD are delighted to welcome our latest Member, SP Energy Networks.
As a Distribution and Transmission Network Operator SP Energy Networks keep electricity flowing to homes and businesses throughout Central and Southern Scotland, North Wales, Merseyside, Cheshire and North Shropshire.
They transmit, distribute and connect electricity to and from 3.5 million homes and businesses over their network, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Their considerable asset network includes:
- 30,000 sub stations, supplying
- 3.52 million customers, through
- 40,000km of overhead lines, and
- 65,000km of underground cables
SP Energy Networks’ Head of Asset Data, Shaun Stevenson, comments “Making our asset location plans freely available through LSBUD means that all those who need them to work safely will have quick and easy access. Whilst we have supplied asset plans for some time through our UMV application, engaging LSBUD helps SP Energy Networks to reach the widest possible audience which, in turn, will help to better protect the network and all those who work around it.”
