SEHAUC – Improving Performance
With the conference season upon us once again, LSBUD headed for The Kent County Showground to exhibit and speak at the South East HAUC’s (SEHAUC) annual street works seminar.
LSBUD has exhibited at all of the regional HAUC events so far this year and, without exception, they have been extremely well attended. SEHAUC continued this trend with a well-planned event and we saw a great many of our users, both at our stand and in the audience during the Innovation and Technology stream. LSBUD spoke twice during the day on the theme of ‘Increasing the visibility of utility assets through a single portal’. Our talk was part of a trio of presentations and was well complemented by excellent contributions from James Harris of Elgin and Michael Cook of Kier / Thames Water.
While we regularly meet and talk with our Members, we don’t get the chance to meet our Users nearly so often. With more than 60,000 Users now registered for LSBUD they are scattered far and wide. The HAUC events give us a welcome opportunity to meet our Users in large numbers and it was illuminating to spend time with some of our highest volume searchers during the day, including Morrison Group, Kier, Openreach and Clancy Docwra.
The hottest topic on our stand was the recent arrival of SGN and UKPN among our Members and it was heartening to hear first-hand how well these recent arrivals have been received. We had a feeling that this was the case as search numbers have been rocketing recently, so confirmation was welcome.
The next events we will be attending are:
- *West Midlands HAUC Roadshow 2017 – 21st Sept
- *Network Asset Performance Conference 2017 – 21st Sept
- *IGEM Annual Conference – 10th – 11th Oct
We look forward to meeting more of our Users and Members and encourage them to visit our stand and share their experiences with us.
